Artist statement: An ongoing study on water.

 

We are surrounded by water, we consist of water, water is all around us.

Like sound, water has a clear, yet undefinable shape. This fascinates me.

​

The Sound of water always gives me a nice feeling. I find it inspiring to listen to hard rain, ocean waves, or just the drizzling from a small stream. I try to bring along my sound recorder as often as I can, and through hundreds of recordings, it clearly states that every single waterdrop sounds a bit different to the next one. Like footprints, like snowflakes, or maybe something in between.

 With hydromicrophones I will continue to dwell into my fascination of water.​
